Welcome to Idaho Fly Fishing Company, located in beautiful Avery, Idaho.  Tucked deep into the Bitterroot Mountains we are amazingly less than a two hour drive from Spokane, Washington and Coeur d' Alene Idaho.

We offer a fully stocked "on the river" fly shop.  Unlike the big boxes that are located in the large seas of aspalt, we are actually on the river in the wild and scenic Bitterroot Mountains.  Being "on the river" we always have the heads up on exactly which bugs are hatching and the current river conditions. We always enjoy sharing this information with the visitors and potential visitors to the St. Joe.  Having a location "on the river" also allows us to offer demo rods, reels, and fly lines that you can fish immediately.  This gives you the oppurtunity to fish many rods in a day or weekend until you find just the right one that fits your fly fishing needs.

We stock proven quality names like Rio, Loon Outdoors, Bite Footwear, Temple Fork, G.L. Loomis. Live Eyewear, and many more.  We only stock the highest quality flies tied by the premium tyers of Rainy's Flies. 

In addition, we also offer a full coffeehouse and serve fresh, made to your liking, deli style sandwiches, as well as, hard ice cream.  Come for a mocha and sandwich with a waffle cone to top it off and enjoy it all on our 35' deck overlooking the wild and scenic St. Joe River!

Idaho Flyfishing Co. is locally owned and operated by Dan and Beth Mottern.  Dan was born and raised in Northern Idaho, near the mouth of the St. Joe River.  Dan and Beth look forward to building a prosperous business at Idaho Fly Fishing Co., where people can come to relax and enjoy a beautiful day on the St. Joe River.
